Sertoli Cell-Only Syndrome

Meaning

Sertoli Cell-Only Syndrome (SCOS) is a male infertility condition characterized by the complete absence of germ cells within the testicular seminiferous tubules, while supportive Sertoli cells remain present. This histological feature directly causes azoospermia, meaning no spermatozoa are found in the ejaculate, precluding natural conception.
