Sermorelin is a synthetic peptide representing the first 29 amino acids of the naturally occurring GHRH. Mechanism
The mechanism is initiated by Sermorelin binding to GHRH receptors on somatotroph cells in the anterior pituitary. This binding stimulates the pulsatile release of stored GH. Circulating GH then signals the liver to produce IGF-1, which is the primary mediator of GH’s anabolic effects. IGF-1 acts on muscle tissue receptors to enhance amino acid uptake, suppress protein degradation, and promote the differentiation of satellite cells, collectively leading to muscle hypertrophy and regeneration.
