Senolytic Support

Meaning

Senolytic Support refers to the therapeutic strategy of using compounds or interventions designed to selectively induce apoptosis, or programmed cell death, in senescent cells. These ‘zombie cells’ accumulate with age, secrete pro-inflammatory cytokines, and contribute significantly to chronic inflammation and tissue dysfunction. The clinical goal of senolytic support is to clear this biological burden, thereby improving tissue function, reducing inflammaging, and potentially extending healthspan.
