SAMR, the State Administration for Market Regulation, is the principal governmental agency in China responsible for regulating all aspects of market activity, including the supervision of health, food, and pharmaceutical products. Within the hormonal health and wellness space, SAMR is the overarching authority that oversees the National Medical Products Administration (NMPA), which is directly responsible for the approval and post-market surveillance of drugs, medical devices, and health supplements.
