Resilience Management

Meaning

Resilience Management is the clinical and behavioral strategy focused on deliberately enhancing an individual’s physiological and psychological capacity to adapt effectively to acute and chronic stressors, maintaining or rapidly returning to a state of optimal function. In the hormonal health domain, this specifically targets the optimization of the HPA axis and the autonomic nervous system, ensuring an appropriate and proportional endocrine response to challenge. The objective is to increase the individual’s stress threshold and minimize the allostatic load, thus protecting against the cumulative, damaging effects of chronic stress on metabolic and immune function.
