Reproductive Health Markers

Meaning

Reproductive Health Markers are a set of measurable biological indicators, primarily hormones and related proteins, used to assess the functional status and reserve of the hypothalamic-pituitary-gonadal (HPG) axis in both males and females. These markers include, but are not limited to, Follicle-Stimulating Hormone (FSH), Luteinizing Hormone (LH), Estradiol, Progesterone, and Testosterone. Clinically, they provide essential data for diagnosing fertility issues, assessing menopausal or andropausal status, and guiding hormone replacement therapy.
