Remote Monitoring

Meaning

Remote Monitoring is the clinical practice of using digital health technologies, such as wearable sensors, mobile apps, and connected medical devices, to collect and transmit physiological data from a patient outside of the traditional clinical setting. In hormonal health, this may involve tracking continuous glucose levels, sleep patterns, heart rate variability, or symptom severity to gain a real-time, ecological understanding of a patient’s endocrine function. This continuous data stream allows for proactive adjustments to hormone therapy and lifestyle recommendations, moving from episodic to continuous care. It enhances the personalization and precision of clinical management.
