Reasonable Accommodation Definition

Meaning

The Reasonable Accommodation Definition, under the ADA, specifies a modification or adjustment to a job, the work environment, or the way things are usually done that enables a qualified individual with a disability to enjoy equal employment opportunities. In the context of hormonal health, this may include adjustments for an employee managing the side effects of complex endocrine treatments or the chronic fatigue associated with an autoimmune thyroid disorder. The accommodation must be effective and not impose an undue hardship on the employer’s operations.
