Quality Risk Management

Meaning

Quality Risk Management (QRM) is a systematic process used in the pharmaceutical and clinical industries to assess, control, communicate, and review the risks to the quality of a product throughout its lifecycle. For peptide drugs and hormonal therapies, QRM is essential for ensuring that the product consistently meets its intended quality standards, minimizing the potential for contamination, impurity, or loss of potency that could harm the patient. It is a mandated component of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
