Quality of Life

Meaning

Quality of Life (QoL) is a comprehensive, multidimensional clinical concept that assesses an individual’s overall sense of well-being, encompassing their physical health, psychological state, personal beliefs, social relationships, and their relationship to salient features of their environment. In hormonal health, QoL serves as a critical subjective outcome measure, as hormonal imbalances often profoundly affect energy levels, mood, sexual function, and cognitive clarity, all of which are central to a patient’s lived experience. Optimizing hormonal parameters is frequently undertaken with the explicit goal of enhancing this subjective well-being.
