Pseudogynecomastia

Meaning

Pseudogynecomastia refers to the benign accumulation of adipose tissue in the male subareolar region, which simulates the appearance of true glandular gynecomastia without actual proliferation of mammary gland tissue. This condition is characterized by the presence of soft, compressible fat deposits, distinguishing it from the firm, glandular enlargement seen in genuine gynecomastia.
