Protein Integrity refers to the maintenance of the correct structure, folding, and functional state of all proteins within the human body, which is essential for virtually all physiological processes. Proteins, including enzymes, hormones, and structural components like collagen, must maintain their native conformation to execute their biological roles effectively. Compromised integrity, often due to oxidative stress, glycation, or errors in synthesis, leads to protein aggregation and loss of function, a key driver of cellular aging and disease.
