Pro-Aging Pathway Dampening

Meaning

Pro-aging pathway dampening is the therapeutic strategy of selectively inhibiting or downregulating key intracellular signaling cascades and metabolic processes that are scientifically implicated in accelerating cellular senescence, tissue degeneration, and the overall aging phenotype. This targeted intervention aims to slow the rate of biological aging by modulating the fundamental drivers of longevity at the molecular level. Examples of these critical pathways include mTOR, NF-kB, and the senescent-associated secretory phenotype (SASP).
