Priority Review Pathway

Meaning

A specialized regulatory designation granted by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) to expedite the review of a New Drug Application (NDA) or Biologics License Application (BLA). This pathway is reserved for drugs that, if approved, would represent a significant improvement in the safety or effectiveness of treating a serious condition compared to existing therapies. For hormonal health, this designation can accelerate the availability of novel endocrine treatments or delivery systems for life-threatening or debilitating conditions.
