Meaning

The Posterior Chain refers to the integrated group of muscles, tendons, and ligaments located on the backside of the human body, extending from the base of the skull to the heels. This critical anatomical system primarily encompasses the erector spinae muscles along the spine, the gluteal muscles of the buttocks, the hamstrings in the posterior thigh, and the calf muscles, including the gastrocnemius and soleus.
