Post-TRT Protocol

Meaning

A Post-TRT Protocol is a specific, clinically managed regimen designed to facilitate the rapid and complete restoration of endogenous testosterone production and fertility following the cessation of exogenous Testosterone Replacement Therapy (TRT). This carefully managed transition is necessary because TRT suppresses the Hypothalamic-Pituitary-Gonadal (HPG) axis, leading to a temporary state of secondary hypogonadism upon discontinuation. The protocol aims to mitigate the symptomatic effects of hormone withdrawal while aggressively promoting pituitary and testicular recovery.
