Post-Therapy Hormonal Recalibration

Meaning

Post-Therapy Hormonal Recalibration is the clinical process of deliberately managing and restoring the endogenous endocrine system’s natural function following a period of suppression or alteration by exogenous hormone administration or hormone-modulating drugs. This process is essential after cessation of certain hormonal therapies to prevent prolonged hypogonadism or other endocrine deficiencies. The goal is to safely transition the patient back to their body’s inherent hormonal set point.
