Post-Menopause Hormone Therapy

Meaning

Post-Menopause Hormone Therapy, often referred to as PMHT, involves the administration of exogenous hormones, primarily estrogens and progestogens, to women who have completed their menopausal transition. This clinical intervention aims to mitigate symptoms and manage health considerations associated with the physiological decline in endogenous ovarian hormone production after menopause has been established for at least 12 consecutive months.
