Post-Finasteride Syndrome

Meaning

Post-Finasteride Syndrome (PFS) is a controversial but recognized clinical condition describing a persistent constellation of adverse symptoms occurring after the cessation of treatment with the 5-alpha reductase inhibitor finasteride. These symptoms often involve sexual, neurological, and physical domains, extending beyond the expected pharmacological half-life of the drug. We approach this presentation with scientific rigor and deep empathy for the patient experience.
