Post-Cycle Support

Meaning

Post-Cycle Support (PCS) is a clinical and pharmacological strategy involving a structured regimen of medications and supplements administered following a cycle of exogenous hormone therapy, such as anabolic androgenic steroids. The primary clinical goal of PCS is to facilitate the rapid recovery of the body’s natural, endogenous hormone production, particularly the hypothalamic-pituitary-gonadal (HPG) axis, which is suppressed by the exogenous hormones. This supportive phase is crucial for preventing prolonged hypogonadism and mitigating the adverse effects of hormone withdrawal.
