Pluripotent Stem Cells

Meaning

Pluripotent stem cells are undifferentiated cells capable of differentiating into any cell type from the three embryonic germ layers: endoderm, mesoderm, and ectoderm. Unlike totipotent cells, they do not form extraembryonic tissues. These cells possess the critical ability to self-renew indefinitely while maintaining their broad differentiation potential for tissue repair and regeneration.
