Physiological Vulnerabilities

Meaning

Physiological vulnerabilities are inherent or acquired biological predispositions, weaknesses, or sensitivities within an individual’s systems that increase their susceptibility to hormonal imbalances, metabolic dysfunction, or chronic disease. These vulnerabilities can be genetic, epigenetic, or a result of chronic environmental exposure, representing areas where the body’s homeostatic mechanisms are most likely to fail under stress. Identifying these points is a critical step in preventative clinical practice.
