Physiological Time Dilation

Meaning

Physiological Time Dilation is a theoretical concept used in longevity medicine to describe the subjective and objective slowing of the biological aging process relative to chronological time. It suggests that by optimizing cellular and systemic health markers, such as telomere length, metabolic efficiency, and epigenetic age, an individual can extend their “healthspan” such that their body functions at a younger biological age for a longer period. This term provides a framework for measuring the success of anti-aging and hormonal interventions in terms of biological deceleration. The ultimate goal is to increase the duration of peak health.
