Physiological Regulation Boundaries

Meaning

Physiological Regulation Boundaries define the normal, homeostatic range of biochemical, hormonal, and functional parameters within which the human body maintains optimal health and adaptation. These boundaries represent the capacity of the body’s control systems, such as the endocrine and nervous systems, to self-correct and maintain equilibrium despite internal or external stressors. Exceeding these boundaries, such as through chronic, unmanaged stress or severe hormonal deficiency, results in allostatic load and subsequent clinical pathology.
