Physiological Liability

Meaning

Physiological Liability is a clinical term referring to an existing or developing weakness, imbalance, or compromised function within a biological system that significantly increases an individual’s susceptibility to stress, disease, or suboptimal performance. This liability can manifest as chronic inflammation, hormonal dysregulation, or mitochondrial dysfunction, representing a hidden vulnerability that will inevitably surface under conditions of metabolic or psychological stress. Identifying and mitigating these liabilities is a core principle of preventive and longevity medicine.
