Physiological Determinants

Meaning

Physiological Determinants are the intrinsic, measurable biological and functional factors within an individual, encompassing their genetic predispositions, baseline hormone concentrations, metabolic enzyme efficiencies, and cellular receptor sensitivities, that collectively govern their health status and specific biological response to environmental and clinical inputs. These determinants establish the individual’s unique homeostatic set point and resilience capacity. Identifying and quantifying these factors is the foundational step in precision endocrinology, allowing for truly individualized risk assessment and therapeutic targeting.
