Physiological Adaptation Incentives

Meaning

A category of wellness strategies where the incentive for maintaining a health behavior is derived directly from the measurable, positive biological changes that the behavior induces within the body. These incentives are intrinsic and objective, such as seeing a measurable reduction in HbA1c, an increase in heart rate variability (HRV), or a normalization of the cortisol awakening response. The goal is to shift the motivation from an external prize to the internal, self-reinforcing feeling of improved physiological function and resilience.
