Physical Resilience Quotient

Meaning

The Physical Resilience Quotient (PRQ) is a composite, objective metric quantifying an individual’s systemic capacity to withstand, adapt to, and rapidly recover from physical, metabolic, or environmental stressors. It is a functional measure that integrates cardiorespiratory fitness, muscular endurance, autonomic nervous system balance (e.g., HRV), and hormonal reserve capacity, such as the HPA axis response. A high PRQ indicates robust biological reserve and a lower susceptibility to stress-induced physiological breakdown or chronic fatigue.
