Physical Ability Metrics

Meaning

A set of quantitative, objective measurements used in clinical and performance settings to assess an individual’s functional capacity across various domains, including strength, endurance, flexibility, balance, and power output. These metrics move beyond subjective self-reporting to provide verifiable data on physical health and resilience, often serving as critical biomarkers for biological aging and the efficacy of therapeutic interventions. Examples include grip strength, VO2 max, and gait speed.
