Meaning

PGT-A, or Preimplantation Genetic Testing for Aneuploidy, is a diagnostic procedure performed on embryos during an in vitro fertilization (IVF) cycle. This test identifies embryos possessing an abnormal number of chromosomes, a condition known as aneuploidy, which is a primary cause of implantation failure, miscarriage, and certain genetic disorders in live births.
