Performance Deceleration

Meaning

A measurable, non-acute decline in an individual’s maximal or sustained capacity across physical, cognitive, or metabolic domains, often observed as a consequence of cumulative allostatic load, hormonal imbalance, or age-related physiological decline. This deceleration signifies a reduction in the functional reserve of key organ systems, leading to slower recovery times and diminished resilience to stress. It is a critical early indicator of systemic health deterioration.
