Performance Biomarker Velocity

Meaning

The rate of change, or directional momentum, observed in physiological markers that correlate with functional capacity, such as lean mass accretion, recovery metrics, or aerobic power, following an intervention. This velocity quantifies the speed of positive adaptation rather than the absolute level of the marker itself, offering a dynamic measure of therapeutic efficacy. High velocity indicates a rapid, favorable shift in physiological state.
