Patient-Reported Outcome Measures

Meaning

Patient-Reported Outcome Measures (PROMs) are standardized, validated questionnaires or instruments used in clinical research and routine practice to capture a patient’s direct perspective on their own health status, symptom severity, functional capacity, and overall quality of life. These measures are collected without any interpretation or modification by a clinician or observer. PROMs are increasingly recognized as essential for evaluating the true, subjective impact and value of hormonal interventions and chronic disease management strategies.
