Oxidative Pressure

Meaning

Oxidative pressure, often used interchangeably with oxidative stress, refers to an imbalance within a biological system between the production of reactive oxygen species (ROS) and the capacity of the system to detoxify these reactive intermediates or repair the resulting damage. Elevated pressure drives cellular damage to lipids, proteins, and DNA, accelerating biological aging and contributing to various chronic diseases. Managing this pressure is a central theme in longevity and wellness medicine.
