Organic Diet

Meaning

An Organic Diet consists primarily of foods produced using farming methods that strictly prohibit the use of synthetic pesticides, herbicides, conventional fertilizers, genetically modified organisms (GMOs), and growth hormones or antibiotics in livestock. From a hormonal health perspective, the significant value of this dietary approach lies in actively minimizing exposure to exogenous endocrine-disrupting chemicals (EDCs) that can directly interfere with endogenous hormone signaling and metabolic pathways. Prioritizing organic intake is viewed as a crucial preventative measure aimed at reducing the body’s overall xenobiotic burden and supporting optimal, unperturbed endocrine function.
