Norepinephrine Support

Meaning

Norepinephrine support refers to the therapeutic administration of exogenous norepinephrine, a potent vasopressor, to restore or maintain adequate systemic blood pressure and organ perfusion in critically ill patients experiencing hypotensive states. This intervention aims to counteract vasodilation and enhance vascular tone when endogenous catecholamine production is insufficient to meet physiological demands. It represents a critical pharmacologic strategy in acute circulatory failure.
