Non-Suppressive Anabolism

Meaning

Non-Suppressive Anabolism refers to the clinical objective of stimulating muscle protein synthesis and tissue growth—the anabolic state—without causing a negative feedback suppression of the body’s own endogenous hormone production. Traditional anabolic interventions often shut down the Hypothalamic-Pituitary-Gonadal (HPG) axis, leading to a state of dependency and potential long-term endocrine dysfunction. This strategy seeks to decouple the beneficial anabolic effects from the undesirable systemic suppression, maintaining the body’s natural hormonal regulatory mechanisms.
