Non-CYP19A1 Markers

Meaning

A category of biomarkers that are not directly encoded by the CYP19A1 gene, which codes for the aromatase enzyme, but are nonetheless relevant to the prediction of treatment response or toxicity for aromatase inhibitors (AIs). These markers often represent downstream signaling molecules, alternative metabolic pathways, or genetic polymorphisms in other key regulatory genes. Their clinical utility lies in providing a more comprehensive molecular profile beyond the primary drug target.
