Non-Autoimmune SCH

Meaning

Non-Autoimmune Subclinical Hypothyroidism (SCH) denotes mild thyroid dysfunction with elevated serum Thyroid-Stimulating Hormone (TSH), while free thyroxine (FT4) and triiodothyronine (FT3) remain normal. This classification signifies the absence of thyroid autoantibodies (TPOAb or TgAb), distinguishing it from autoimmune conditions. Compensatory TSH secretion maintains adequate peripheral thyroid hormones.
