NF-κB Activation

Meaning

NF-κB Activation refers to the cellular process where the Nuclear Factor kappa-light-chain-enhancer of activated B cells (NF-κB) protein complex transitions from an inactive cytoplasmic state to an active form, enabling its translocation into the nucleus. This activation is a critical step in regulating the expression of genes primarily involved in immune responses, inflammation, cell proliferation, and cell survival pathways.
