Neuroendocrine Dysregulation

Meaning

Neuroendocrine Dysregulation is a pathological state characterized by an abnormal, incoherent, or imbalanced interaction between the nervous system and the endocrine system. This failure of integrated control results in the inappropriate, asynchronous, or excessive secretion of hormones and neurotransmitters, leading to a systemic disruption of homeostasis. Clinically, it often underlies chronic stress-related disorders, reproductive dysfunction, and mood disturbances.
