Neuro-Toxicity

Meaning

Neuro-Toxicity is a pathological condition defined by structural or functional damage to the central and/or peripheral nervous system resulting from exposure to a chemical agent known as a neurotoxin. This damage can manifest as a spectrum of neurological symptoms, cognitive impairment, or, critically in our domain, secondary hormonal dysregulation, given the nervous system’s direct control over the endocrine axes. Clinical vigilance is necessary to identify and mitigate environmental, metabolic, or pharmacological exposures that compromise neuronal integrity.
