NAD plus Precursors

Meaning

A class of biomolecules, such as Nicotinamide Riboside (NR) and Nicotinamide Mononucleotide (NMN), that serve as raw materials for the biosynthesis of Nicotinamide Adenine Dinucleotide (NAD+), a critical coenzyme found in all living cells. These precursors are administered clinically to boost intracellular NAD+ levels, thereby supporting essential metabolic processes, including cellular energy production, DNA repair, and the activity of sirtuin longevity proteins. Their role is pivotal in addressing age-related decline in cellular function.
