Myofibrillar Synthesis

Meaning

Myofibrillar Synthesis is the specific anabolic process responsible for generating new contractile proteins, primarily actin and myosin filaments, which form the functional sarcomeres within skeletal and cardiac muscle tissue. This process is the biochemical underpinning of muscle hypertrophy and strength adaptation in response to physiological demands. Successful synthesis requires adequate substrate availability and appropriate hormonal signaling to drive protein accretion over degradation. We focus on this synthesis to optimize physical capacity.
