Musculoskeletal Events

Meaning

A clinical classification referring to any injury, disorder, or adverse health outcome affecting the body’s muscular, skeletal, ligamentous, or tendinous structures. In clinical trials and longitudinal studies, these events are systematically tracked to assess the safety and efficacy of interventions, particularly those influencing bone mineral density or muscle mass, such as hormone replacement therapy. Examples include fractures, myalgia, or tendon rupture.
