Musculoskeletal Adverse Events

Meaning

Musculoskeletal Adverse Events (MSAEs) are clinically significant, undesirable occurrences affecting the muscles, bones, joints, ligaments, or tendons that arise during or after a therapeutic intervention or protocol. These events range from myalgia and arthralgia to more serious conditions like rhabdomyolysis, tendon rupture, or accelerated bone demineralization. In hormonal health, careful monitoring for MSAEs is essential when administering anabolic agents or other endocrine-modulating compounds that affect tissue remodeling rates.
