Multiple Sensitivities

Meaning

Multiple sensitivities describe a clinical state where an individual exhibits adverse physiological reactions to a wide array of environmental agents, chemicals, foods, or physical stimuli. These responses are often non-IgE mediated, distinct from classical allergies, and involve various bodily systems reacting with a lowered tolerance threshold to otherwise benign exposures. The condition reflects generalized physiological hyper-reactivity.
