Mounjaro is the brand name for the prescription injectable medication tirzepatide, a novel pharmaceutical agent classified as a dual glucose-dependent insulinotropic polypeptide (GIP) and glucagon-like peptide-1 (GLP-1) receptor agonist. It is clinically indicated for the treatment of type 2 diabetes mellitus, primarily by improving glycemic control.
