MORE Trial

Meaning

The MORE Trial, an acronym for the Multiple Outcomes of Raloxifene Evaluation, was a large-scale, randomized, placebo-controlled clinical study designed to meticulously assess the effect of the Selective Estrogen Receptor Modulator (SERM) raloxifene on multiple health outcomes. The primary endpoints included bone mineral density, the incidence of vertebral fractures, and the occurrence of invasive breast cancer in a population of postmenopausal women with osteoporosis. This pivotal trial provided critical data on the differential, tissue-specific effects of SERMs compared to traditional estrogen therapy.
