Mind Body Regulation

Meaning

Mind Body Regulation is the conscious and unconscious bidirectional communication and control system between the central nervous system and the peripheral physiological systems, including the endocrine and immune networks. It represents the ability to deliberately or automatically modulate physiological states, such as heart rate variability, stress hormone release, and inflammatory markers, through cognitive and emotional input. Achieving optimal regulation is fundamental for systemic health and emotional equilibrium.
